The practice requires 72 hours i.e. 3 clear working days, to process repeat prescriptions, this is in order to get the repeat prescription to the pharmacy. The pharmacy will also require time to process the prescription (48 hours). So please allow time for this when reviewing your supply of medication.
If you have reached the end of your repeat prescription period you will need to allow time for your own doctor to re-authorise the prescription. Depending on the doctor’s work pattern, this may take longer than 72 hours. So again, please note when your medication is due for re-authorisation, and allow plenty of time for this to be processed.
When requesting a repeat prescription please provide all of the details identified on your previous prescription.
