Excellent service

Woke up with pains in back and chest yesterday morning. Decided to get medical opinion and was in surgery at 09.30 and was given an appointment with a Partner 25 minutes later. Full examination followed by referral to Ambulatory Assessment Unit at the JR. Whilst waiting I found the new informatics in the reception area extremely useful with live information on clinicians and locations, and on separate screens useful information on self help care.

Very helpful and efficient

It’s not good when a bad cold just before Christmas is followed by bacterial infections. But two immediate appointments were fixed on 23rd and 24th December, properly checking me out, and courses of antibiotics picked up at the onsite pharmacy. As usual I was very impressed by the quality of the service - with smiles. Professionally expert, pleasant and friendly. Great practice. Thank you.

Excellent service

I had my monthly routine blood test on December 3rd. On December 4th a Woodlands' GP phoned me at 09.00 having picked-up a concern on my inflammation marker. We discussed appropriate action. WMC always alert to patient issues.

Could use slight improvement

i would firstly like to say that the care i have received from the nurses and doctors at this practice has been outstanding, i have a a complicated medical issue and they have always helped as much as possible when i have been to see them, the care i can not fault in any way. However, when calling/visiting reception i have often been met with a bad attitude from a receptionist, which is not something you should expect to deal with when visiting a doctors surgery. (we are not there for cup of tea and a chin wag). i do not expect a huff and puff and to be snapped at for asking to book an appointment!!! if you are unable to give a smile and a show a little compassion then i am sorry you are in the wrong profession. a little kindness doesn't cost you anything. I need to add that this is not a reflection on all of the receptionists, i have had some lovely people greet me and nothing was too much trouble. i just wish that all of the reception team shared that way of working.
