Pregnancy Care Planner

The more you know about your pregnancy and your options, the more you are likely to feel in control. The information given here is based on The Pregnancy Book, which your midwife should give you at your first appointment.

A pregnant woman

Before you are pregnant

From 1st July you can arrange an appointment with a midwife directly as soon as you know you are pregnant.

  • This is in line with national guidance on maternity care aimed at ensuring quality and continuity.
  • Remember, you do not need a doctor’s appointment if you want to book in to antenatal care.
  • Patients can call the Midwifery team on 01491 826037
